Shower Hardware

What makes a sliding door glide

A sliding (bypass) shower door hangs from rollers that run along a top track, with a guide at the bottom keeping it on line. When the parts are good and set up right, the door glides with a fingertip and stays quiet and square for years; when a roller wears, it drags and jumps. Centennial Glass supplies, installs and repairs the full range of sliding hardware — header rails, roller assemblies, hanger brackets and bottom guides — matched to your hardware finish. For a full enclosure, see our sliding shower doors. We’ve been Ottawa’s glass company since 1967.

Roller Assemblies

Nylon ball-bearing wheels on a chrome bracket that carry the glass and let it glide quietly along the rail.

Oval & Flat-Edge Rollers

Replacement roller wheels in the common edge profiles, sized to match your existing track.

Chrome hanger bracket for a sliding shower door

Hanger Brackets

The brackets that grip the top edge of the glass and connect it to the rollers, adjustable for height.

Chrome bottom guide and rubber bumper for a sliding shower door

Bottom Guides & Bumpers

The floor guide that keeps the door on line and the soft bumpers that cushion it at each end of the run.

Sticking or jumping door? We repair too

If your slider drags, jumps the track or won’t stay closed, it’s usually worn rollers or a guide out of adjustment — an easy fix, and often cheaper than living with it. We repair and replace sliding hardware on doors we didn’t originally install, and we can match rollers to most common tracks. Planning a new enclosure? See our sliding shower doors.
