How your glass panels are held in place

A frameless shower has no surrounding metal frame, so its fixed panels are held to the wall and to each other with discreet clamps, clips and channels. Get these right and the glass sits solid and square for years. Centennial Glass supplies and installs the full range — wall-to-glass and glass-to-glass clamps, fixed-panel clips and aluminium U-channel — matched to your hinges and hardware finish. We’ve been Ottawa’s glass company since 1967 and install more than 1,000 showers a year, so we know exactly which fixing each panel needs.

Clamps & Channels We Install

Chrome wall-to-glass shower clamp holding a glass panel

Wall-to-Glass Clamps

Small brackets that hold a fixed glass panel firmly to a tiled or stud wall, used where a support bar isn’t needed.

Chrome glass-to-glass clamp joining two shower panels

Glass-to-Glass Clamps

Clamps that join two panels at 90° or in-line, keeping a return panel square to the main glass.

Low-profile chrome fixed-panel glass clip

Fixed-Panel Clips

Low-profile clips that grip a fixed panel along its edge — a clean, minimal alternative to a full channel.

Heavy-duty chrome sleeve-over shower glass clamp

Sleeve-Over Clamps

Heavier clamps that sleeve over the glass edge for extra hold on larger or taller fixed panels.

Chrome aluminium U-channel holding a shower glass panel

U-Channel (Wall & Base)

Aluminium channel that captures the whole edge of a panel along the wall or base for a continuous, solid fixing.

Chrome header U-channel top rail for a frameless shower

Header Channel

A top channel that ties panels together across the opening, adding rigidity to a tall frameless run.

Clamps or channel — which is right?

Clamps give the cleanest, most minimal look and suit most fixed panels; a U-channel captures the full edge and is the sturdiest option for tall or heavy glass. On most jobs we mix the two — clamps where the glass shows, channel where it counts. Tell us your layout and we’ll spec the right fixings, and you can lay it out in the shower design tool.

“We couldn’t be happier with the workmanship and his attention to detail.” — Garry Nicholas, 5★
