Inline Swing Door With Half Panel Questions

What is an inline swing door with a half panel?

An inline swing door with a half panel combines a hinged door and a fixed panel with a shorter “half” panel of glass that sits on top of a knee wall or pony wall. It’s used when a low tiled wall runs part of the opening.

What is the half panel sitting on?

The half panel is a shorter piece of glass mounted on top of a pony wall or knee wall — a low finished wall, often tiled. The full-height panel beside it is notched so the glass fits neatly around that wall.

How do I measure around a knee wall?

We need the height of the knee wall and the width it runs, plus the overall opening. Rough numbers are fine to start; we take exact site measurements before any glass is cut so everything lands on the wall correctly.

What glass and hardware finishes are available?

Every enclosure is made from thick frameless tempered safety glass, paired with your choice of hardware finish — chrome, brushed nickel, matte black and more — and matching hinges. For help deciding, see our streak-free glass cleaner.

Why choose Centennial Glass for a shower enclosure?

As Ottawa’s longest-established glass company (since 1967) we build every enclosure in-house and stand behind it with a 2-year workmanship guarantee. As one customer told us: “The installation for the glass shower doors look great; they are well aligned and slide smoothly.” — Lucie Thériault, 5★.

How do I get started or ask a question about my project?
