Mirrors planned for the wall and the room

Wall Mirrors

Wall mirrors range from compact decorative accents to broad custom installations. Start with where the mirror will hang, then compare the required reflection, available dimensions and desired design.

Choosing the right mirror

The wall determines more than the width

Furniture, lighting, switches, outlets, trim, sightlines and mounting conditions all affect the right mirror. Centennial offers ready-made wall mirrors and custom fabrication for projects where the glass needs to follow the space.

01

Decorative wall mirrors

Use a ready-made shape, frame and finish when the mirror is intended to function as part of the room’s décor.

02

Custom wall mirrors

Fabricate mirror glass around exact dimensions, with rectangular and square custom framing available where appropriate.

03

Mounting and installation

Confirm wall construction, product weight, mounting hardware, access and the final viewing height before installation.

Planning and measurement guide

Planning a Wall Mirror by Location

The best dimensions and mounting height depend on what sits around and below the mirror. Start with the complete wall elevation rather than selecting a mirror from width alone.

Large wall mirror planned around a bathroom vanity

Over a bathroom vanity

Coordinate mirror width with the cabinet, sink and faucet, then check the available height between the backsplash and lighting. Side sconces, outlets and medicine cabinets also affect the usable wall area.

Above an entry or living-room console

Consider the width and height of the furniture, lamps and accessories below the mirror. The reflection should capture a useful or attractive view rather than an awkward doorway or unfinished area.

On a larger feature wall

A broad custom mirror can increase light and apparent depth, while a designer frame creates a more defined focal point. The wall scale determines whether one mirror, multiple mirrors or several custom panels are appropriate.

Height, hardware and installation

Confirm the intended sightline, completed weight, mounting system and wall construction. Large products also require a clear route through the building before installation.

Wall Mirrors FAQ

Can Centennial make a wall mirror to an exact size?

Yes. Custom frameless mirrors can be fabricated for suitable wall dimensions, and rectangular or square mirrors can also be completed with a custom wood or metal frame.

How high should a wall mirror be installed?

The correct height depends on the mirror dimensions, users, furniture or vanity below it, nearby lighting and the desired sightline. Plan the complete composition rather than using one universal height.

What should be checked before installation?

Confirm wall construction, mounting surface, product weight, hardware, nearby electrical or plumbing features and the route used to bring the mirror into the room.

Are wall mirrors available as ready-made designs?

Yes. The designer collection includes completed wall mirrors in multiple shapes, frames, finishes and proportions.
